RMoL officials had a meeting with the Secretary, Department of Rural Development for the submission of PSES analysis report and also on the assignments which will be sanctioned to RMoL under the NRLM project in the state.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan in his chamber. In this meeting agenda of ‘Considerations for availability of buildings of Public Educational Institutions above the High School level to any agency including the private sector after class hours for skill development, and ‘Considering setting up of State level Mission for Skill Development to be Chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister’ were discussed.

Proposals of 30 existing and new training providers were examined. The Principal Secretary (L&E) has been approved 49 training programmes out of 77 training programme. Total number of programmes approved by RMoL is 809 till 31st January, 2011.

The mobile vans have been inaugurated by Master Bhanwar Lal Ji, Hon’ble Minister Labour & Employment and Primary & Secondary Education. The other dignitaries Shri Manohar Kant Ji, Principal Secretary, Labour & Employment and Shri K.L. Meena Ji, Labour Commissioner were also present. The well equipped mobile vans have been handed over to the partner agencies.

Under the construction academy project, as per the MoU with NAC, Hyderabad a team of four officials visited all seven centres for certification process of trainees.
Initiatives for Livelihood Promotion

Under TADD project, The District Manager, Dungarpur conducted meeting with District Collector, CEO and District Child Protection Committee to improve livelihoods of families with migrant children as labourers. Mr. Samuel, State Representative, UNICEF, Ms. Priti Srivastava, UNICEF, Jaipur and Ms. Sindhu, Child Protection Officer, UNICEF, Mr. Shantilal Choubisa, Coordinator (Ex. Dy. SP) participated in the meet and devised strategy to tackle the issues in convergence with the programme of RMoL. UNICEF, ACCESS Development Services (NGO), District Administration and RMoL are jointly working on the initiative for livelihood promotion of families having child migrants.
- TADD project review meeting was held on 31 January, 2011 by the Principal Secretary, TADD and the project monthly progress report submitted to the department by RMoL.
- RMoL Project Director and other officials attended the review meeting conducted by the Commissioner, TADD in Udaipur on 21 January, 2011. RMoL team briefed the child migration project to the District Collectors of the project districts as per the direction given by the Commissioner, TADD, Udaipur. Meeting is in progress with the TADD department for implementation of Project “Enhancing Skills of 4000 tribal families with specific focus on migrating children’s through various livelihood intervention in four districts of Southern Rajasthan”. In meeting with the Commissioner, TADD, Udaipur it was directed by her to start this project and finalize the identification of 4000 tribal families having cases of child migration in the project districts.
Monitoring and coordination

Under Tribal SME project, the Project Director and RMoL officials had a detailed meeting with CEE team and its 5 NGO partners in Udaipur on 21 Jan, 2011, on the project activities as per MoU done in AWP 2010.All the project activities are accomplished by the agency as per the MoU in Dec, 2010. 30 SHGs meetings were organized, CEE facilitated procurement of 6 Gir cows to entrepreneurs, handholding support provided on poultry enterprises to existing entrepreneurs involved in this activity.

RMoL official had a visit at Jahalawar under the ‘Kanjar rehabilitation project’. In the visit all activities were reviewed by the team and future step were discussed with field staff of IFFDC.

The review meeting was held in the RMoL office under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary, Labour & Employment regarding the progress made by RMoL under different programs and the impending issues where government interventions are required.
Initiatives at RMoL District Offices

The District Manager, Tonk, participated in the meeting of ‘Rozgar Srijan Samiti’ organised for preparations of ‘Employment Fair’. The District Manager put forward the ideas for involvement of trainees graduated from various training institutes and is also facilitating involvement of employers.

The District Manager, Tonk, was nominated in the Core Team formed by the District Collector for Operation ‘Sashakti’.

The District Manager, Tonk, participated in the meeting of ‘District Planning Committee’ chaired by the Zila Pramukh for utilization of untied fund and planning for roads under PMGSY.
- At Rajsamand, during the month KVK completed a skill training program on tailoring. In this batch, 25 women were trained. Five BPL trainees were linked to SGSY scheme. The District Manager facilitated this process by discussing the need of trainees with the CEO, Jila Parisad. The Jila Parisad has agreed to provide machines to five BPL women trainees through SGSY scheme.
- The District Manager, Banswara had a meeting with D.M., regarding the agreement between RMoL and T.A.D.D. to impact 1000 tribal families with child migration in the district. The District Manager also discussed the provision of District Coordination Committee need to be formed under D.M.’s chairmanship, with P.O., T.A.D.D. as member secretary and D.D. Agriculture and RMoL as other members. D.M. has ordered the formation of the D.C.C. and task force to prevent child migration.
- The District Manager, Dungarpur providing technical support in implementation of Navjevan Yojana being run by the department of Excise, GOR. The District Manager, Dungarpur had a meeting with D.E.O., Dungarpur and discussed on RMoL’s contribution in better implementation of the scheme. It has been planned to submit a proposal to Excise Department for taking up the scheme in selected districts of Rajasthan.
- The District Manager, Baran, attended a Local Industry Advisory Committee Meeting and Single window on January 18. The meeting was chaired by the District Collector and attended by LBO, DDM NABARD, Director RUDSET and GM DIC.
- The District Manager, Baran, participated in the meeting on PMEGP scheme. The meeting was chaired by the District Collector and attended by district level officers from various departments to review the status of the scheme.
- The District Manager, Baran attended a Twenty point meeting on Jan 19. The meeting was chaired by the District Collector and attended by all concerned DLOs. The major focus agenda was the review of activities of the last financial year like construction of IAY, disbursement of the fund to SHGs under SGSY scheme, linkages of villages with electricity and others.
- At Baran, Mr. Ramcharan Meena, Zilla Pramukh, MLA of Baran block Mr. Pan Chand Meghwal, Nagar Palika Chairman, District Collector inaugurated the Mobile van. ADM, CEO, ACEO, LBO and other district level officers were present on that occasion. 179 candidates were registered in employment fair for the training program through mobile van. The District Manager, Baran attended Sahariya Developmet Program meeting on Jan 24. The meeting was chaired by the District Collector and attended by ADM, Shahbad, LBO and NGOs representatives. The meeting was held to review the status of the scheme like house construction, status for Sahariya community and Sahariya swarogar yojna.

In the month of Jan, IFFDC started the four animal rearing (goat and buffalo) training program under Navjeevan scheme (two in Jhalrapatan and two in Gangdhar block). The District Manager, Baran visited Jhalawar to monitor the two training programs at Biriyakhedi and Chandiyakhedi. After that, District Manager, Baran and District Excise Officer also met the District Collector, Jhalawar to share the progress of Navjeevan scheme. The District Manager briefed that they have submitted 73 project applications i.e. approx Rs. 30,000/each project (total cost is Rs. 21, 90,000 and subsidy amount is Rs. 7, 30,000) under SC PoP to different branches. The District Collector is now doing the follow up with the banks.
